The quality of charcoal is determined by two factors: the raw material and the carbonization technology. At "KOM", we compromise on neither.

Ecological Raw Material from Peak Kom

It all starts in the vast forests of the Berkovitsa mountains. We select only high-quality hardwood - beech, oak, and hornbeam. This solid wood is the secret to long burning and high temperatures.

Modern Technology by Green Power Ltd.

Since May 2014, we abandoned outdated traditional methods that pollute the air. We use leading European equipment from Green Power Ltd. These are new generation closed pyrolysis kilns.

What Does This Mean for Quality?

In the closed system, wood is baked and cooled carefully at strictly controlled temperatures, without oxygen. The result is charcoal with an extremely high pure carbon content. It is light, rings like glass when struck, and contains no unbaked wood that would cause bitter smoke.

Consistency in Every Bag

Unlike pit-burned charcoal, where one half is overburnt and the other raw, our technology guarantees absolute consistency in every batch. Whether you buy a 3, 5, or 10 kg bag, KOM charcoal always offers the perfect experience.
